TRAMWAY: The Zurich tram network is the largest in Switzerland. It is the backbone of public transport in the city of Zurich. The tram is fas way to move around in the city.
The tramway Zurich was founded in 1882, has a track length of
171 km, 17 lines, 3 underground stations and about 205 million passengers per year.
The main transport hubs in the tram network are Paradeplatz, Bellevue, Main Station and Central.
The Tramwy normally runs every 7 minutes. on many routes superimpose several lines,
so every 1 to 2 minutes will come a tram, on weekends every 15 minutes.
Since 2008, there is also a tram line to Zurich airport. The travel time between Zurich Main Station and the airport is 40 min. Some lines range into the northern suburbs of Zurich called Glattalbahn. Another line in a westerly direction is-planned under the name Limattalbahn.
BUS: The city and agglomeration Zurich also has a large bus network. In the center of Zurich there are also trolleybus lines. A major bus route is the Rossengartenstrasse with the Hardbrücke, which is traversed by several lines.
